Guy McKinley is a Manchester based Artist who claims he just makes pretty pictures. The reality is he does a lot more than that! His illustrations oozes style and class and he is recognised as a leading light in the burgeoning UK Street Art scene. Guy has has produced various professional works for Sprite/Coca Cola, New Balance, Brahma, Cahartt, McKenzie and Adidas. His work was also featured in Street Sketchbook. Published by Tristan Manco.

Tiny Diamonds

The Robo Girls are after the missing crystals/diamonds. Most of the images are them posing with them after gathering them up. Either way its a nice excuse to get lots more colour in there. Which is all I need to get the bright pinks and green out. I think colour is such a big important part of my work.

Another new dimension, are the Diamonds themselves, I am usually paint all curves and smooth lines and it was great to throw in a few harder geometric lines against all that smoothness. Hopefully this will push new works another step into expanding on the characters and how I go about paintings them in the future.

All images are “Watercolor & Indian Ink on 300gsm Acid Free Paper”

At Milk Gallery we have a small collection of various graffiti & photography books. One of the most important book is the Turkish Graffiti, Bosphorus Mag & Street Soul. You can have them online right now.

Turkish Graffiti

This book contains reports of the Turkey streets that is not known enough in the graffiti scene of the world. It is made of 128 colored pages with graffiti photos, street art and bombings from all over Turkey.
This book is limited edition and it is the first colored book of graffiti / street art from Turkey. This documentary book contains the artworks of today’s most known Turkish street artists and their works purposing to introduce the observers with Turkish graffiti and street art.

Street Soul

As a result of not having many books published about street arts, the situation in Turkey is not known very much in World’s Graffiti History. Apart from a few magazines, it is almost no one that has published something about the graffiti society in Turkey. Since the mid-90s, graffiti slowly began to spread like an epidemic, nearly in many cities of Turkey. Actually after this period, many world-famous writers or street art artists mostly came to Istanbul and worked out.

In this book you will be able to find out the unpublished works of famous foreign artists except the writers from all over Turkey. Among these artists, names like : ABOVE – BATES – KRIPOE – BROS – FUMST – SPACE INVADER – OBEY GIANT – L’ATLAS – RUSL – COWBOY69 – POKER – BANDIT 77 also exists in the book.
Yer alan sanatçılardan bazıları; ABOVE – BATES – KRIPOE – BROS – FUMST – SPACE INVADER – OBEY GIANT – L’ATLAS – RUSL – COWBOY69 – POKER – BANDIT 77.

URBANIZE

166 page book entitled “URBANIZE!” is filled with Dalek’s breathtaking graphics and hundreds of Supersampler shots by both the man himself and by over 50 Lomographic contributors.
Ünlü grafik tasarımcı Dalek tarafından yaratılan URBAZINE 166 sayfadan oluşmakta. İçinde Dalek dahil 50 farklı fotografçının fotograflarını görmek mümkün.

Megan Whitmarsh – Yeti Logic

Yeti Logic is a sampling of Megan Whitmarsh’s embroidery shown in a manner meant to imply geometry, stacking and interlocking elements such as bricks, legos or crystal formations. In this invented world, elves wear tiny gold necklaces and yetis visit discos; in lands inhabited by icebergs, crystals, rays and forests. Her themes can best be visually described as scenes of fantasy characters existing amongst the detritus of the modern world. They can best be conceptually described as the artist’s attempt to reconcile the ataxia of themodern world. They can best be conceptually described as the artist’s attempt to reconcile the ataxia of the modern world with an optimistic vision of the future dictated by an internal logic and supernatural iconography. Socializing yetis, elf girls and boys make and examine large sculptures and geometric crystal forms that reference both scientific and spiritual structures. Having grown up in the 70’s and 80’s, the artist, like many of her generation, uses the visual noise of her youth as inspiration, rather than the history of painting. | 160pg

Tofer – Vacation Standards

Tofer is back! In the follow-up to his critically acclaimed, best selling debut, Finger Bang!, Tofer continues to confuse the gorgeous and the grotesque. Arousal and disgust fall in lock step with images of devotion and dementia. In Tofer’s world, risk is standard, peril is bewitching, and common sense is always on vacation. | 240pg

Clayton Brothers – Caught Being Good

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Clayton Brothers, Rob and Christian combined forces to execute and collaborate on their shared visions of life beneath the superficial glaze of suburban culture. Using a universal, visual vernacular of superstition, institutional irony, story telling and urban legends, and combining stories from the lives they have witnessed, their paintings and installations hint at past worlds fleetingly glimpsed from train windows and interstate highways. Worlds where souls have crossed paths and stories have been abandoned. The Clayton Brothers are driven by an unknown narrative. Their paintings are created to tell overlooked stories and to ultimately reveal their own.| 240pg

Robert Hardgrave - Magic Beans

A self-developed artist, Robert Hardgrave creates autobiographical work, which is both highly intricate and abundant with personal symbols. Inspired by experiences from disease and recovery, his paintings and drawings reflect ideas of reincarnation and the richness of life beyond death. Every year since Robert Hardgrave received a kidney transplant, he completes a project to celebrate the anniversary of the gift of life. Magic Beans, dedicated to the family of the donor who’s organ makes it possible for Hardgrave to continue producing work, making this book his 5th anniversary project.| 160pg

Monica Canilao This is home

The miscellany of Oakland – a peculiar array of things that have been neglected, forgotten or lost over time. Trash kids with wooden eyes sit shaded under intricate lace awnings, while mystic war parties trudge down empty graveled streets. Old ghostly memories of hand holding, cobwebs, god’s eyes and dust. Monica Canilao effortlessly takes these ribbons of thought and process and sews them together with a pallete of dirt greens, piss yellow browns, bloody mouths, wooden bones and smoke. This is no escape or exaggeration – this is home.| 240pg

Sixeart Mundo – Animal

Before the arrival of the term Street Art, Graffiti was there for about 20 years already. And some of the artists that grew up with it had started to push the boundaries of that art form. Coming from that tradition but heading decisively towards his personal discourse, Sixeart has developed a style hard to define just in terms of any particular movement. His art is a necessary referent in the urban landscape of his hometown of Barcelona but has been shown in galleries and museums around the world. Mundo Animal is his first monographic book ever, 240 pages packed with talent.| 240pg

Completed in just 100 days “how long have I been dead” showcases an intense slice of jones’ prolific output. Touching, disturbing, irreverent and insightful, this book has the ability to comfort with one hand while simultaneously punch you with the other. A magnificent display of the modern grotesque.| 160pg

Dalek - Left/Right/Center

Deep from the depth of the darkest deepest depths of a black hole buried inside a vortex just south of I-95 comes an obscured look into a window some would call double paned… is it looking back at you? Or are you looking back at it?or is it just a reflection of the person standing behind you? Questions with no answers perhaps , but a vision of a world gone mad and the oases that provide sanctuary to weary travelers. Left, Right and Center beckons the viewer to press on.| 160pg

Aya Kato - Sleep Traveler

Indefinite time heroes and warriors , inmense eye ladies of incomparable beauty, impossible love stories in dream places. Illustrations that will take you to a world that seems distant, but that lives inside each one of us. This book is a masterpiece.| 160pg

Alexander Egger - Tomorrow will be better than today

An exercise in detecting reality: A basic vocabulary of associative oscillations taking lost, found, deleted, erased and sorted out imagery as a starting point. Suspended in time, At the same time exposed and intimate, distant and blurred because of too much closeness, figurative and abstract, obscuring and revealing, vague and concrete, razorsharp and faded out, volatile images take shape and manifest themselves waiting for a further reprocession by the recipient. The images reference to the reality of the depicted objects leaving vague traces which can be picked up and processed by somebody else. But photographies can not be more a representation: Picured reality presents itself as absence in the presence: The reality of an image is passed out and already gone at the moment of being watched. That belonging to the past might lead to a melancholic and nostalgic longing sometimes. The visible is too obvious and limited to attract any interest.| 240pg

Marcel.lí Antúnez - Hibridum Bestiarium

Marcel·lí is internationally well known for his mechatronic performances, interactive installations and his work on bio art. The 240 pages of this book bring together a less well-known side of his work, namely his graphic art, including drawings, computer graphics, objects and murals. It presents a strange universe ranging from genetic errors and anthropomorphic animals to pleasure machines. This not so brief treatise is destined to become an incunabulum.| 160pg

Diva - Sol Negro

Black sun, a monograph of visual artist Diva, captures a synthesis of her creative route, making the formal, technical and conceptual evolution of her work visible, and reflecting the personal, sensible and delicate universe of the author. An access door to glimpse multiple ways and supports that has used throughout her trajectory: the street, galleries, stencils in public spaces, painting, digital image, collage, space instalations and multimedia.| 160pg

Shoboshobo - Un Bonnet D’Abeille

This little fat book is a sort of compendium gathering a stack of Shoboshobo productions over the past few years. In it there are various matters going from drawings to fashion design and big explosions, bikers on the beach, a car that brings you back to the future, gigs pictures, shobo members showing their best asets, glutinious material dripping over short legs big hands dudes himself grabbing some other creatures fury leg. It is also important to mention that this book features a certain amount of people carying postable PA and finger in the nose or in the eyes.| 240pg

First Vinyl Toy from Turkey ! Robolucha by Derin Çiler!

ROBOLUCHA was created by using the DNA of a famous Mexican wrestler. He was fighting at the Robot Wrestling League but one day he got pissed off as he couldn’t find a rival to beat him and got retired. Now he’s living in humble apartment enjoying mechanic nachos and lubricant tequila. He doesn’t care whether or not he uses his power and skills for good, lacking a consistent mood, this bad ass robot might storm out in a very bad temper.. He loves bar fights, beware the angry robolucha or get ready to RUMBLE!
